Coach Kierstan
Coach Kierstan Myers, formerly known as Kierstan Jakowicz during her standout collegiate career, is a Jacksonville native whose passion for volleyball has shaped her into a dynamic leader both on and off the court. A proud alumna of the University of North Florida (UNF), Kierstan dominated as an outside hitter/middle blocker for the Ospreys from 1996 to 1999, leaving an indelible mark on the program's history.
During her time at UNF, Kierstan amassed an impressive 1,404 career kills (ranking 5th all-time), with a .304 hitting percentage (5th all-time) over 3,148 attempts (7th all-time). She averaged 3.43 kills per set across 409 sets played (tied for 5th all-time), showcasing her offensive prowess. Defensively, she excelled with 371 total blocks (2nd all-time), including 97 solo blocks (4th) and 274 block assists (3rd), averaging 0.91 blocks per set (tied for 7th). Her single-match highlights include a remarkable 24 kills in a three-set match against USC Spartanburg (10/26/97) and 10 total blocks in a four-set contest.

After earning her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from UNF, Kierstan transitioned her competitive drive and leadership skills into a successful professional career. With over 20 years of experience in operations, human resources, and team management, she has led high-performing teams, overseen multimillion-dollar budgets, and fostered positive work environments—skills she now channels into empowering young athletes.

Whether coaching fundamentals, building mental resilience, or cultivating team dynamics, she is dedicated to unleashing potential and creating a supportive space where athletes thrive year-round. Coach Will
Coach Will's journey in volleyball is a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering dedication. After a devastating baseball injury sidelined his college career, Will enlisted in the United States Navy, where he discovered his true calling on the sand and court. Stationed at the Naval Base in Virginia Beach, he dove into beach volleyball and quickly rose to prominence, earning a spot on the All-Navy Men’s Volleyball Team from 2005 to 2012.
Transferred to Mayport Naval Station in Jacksonville in 2009, Will transitioned seamlessly into coaching club volleyball—a role he's embraced ever since. With over two decades of experience, including 15 years noted during his tenure as head coach of the All-Navy Men’s Volleyball Team in 2017 and 2018, Will has shaped countless athletes. Now retired from the Navy, he serves as Club Director at OTVA Jacksonville, leading teams like the 17 National squad and fostering unity among players from diverse backgrounds, including Sailors and Coast Guard members stationed worldwide.
His coaching prowess shines through in remarkable achievements:
2017-2018 Club Season: Guided his U14s team to a stellar 5th place at the AAU National Volleyball Championship and 10th in the USA division of the Girls’ Junior National Championship.
All-Navy Leadership: As head coach, he emphasized team cohesion during intensive training camps at NAS Jacksonville, preparing for USA Nationals and inter-service competitions against Army and Air Force.
International Impact: Selected as Team Lead for the USA U23 Men’s Team at the Pan American Cup in Guatemala, showcasing his expertise on a global stage.
When not honing skills with high school varsity teams or directing club programs, Will sharpens his own game through beach volleyball scrimmages—often alongside Coach Gil—proving his love for the sport never fades. At The Net, Will brings this championship mindset to empower athletes of all levels, building not just skills, but lifelong confidence and camaraderie. Coach Jenna
Coach Jenna brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Director of Volleyball Strategy and Performance at The Net Training Center, where she shapes the long-term vision, competitive philosophy, and athlete development pathways for players of all ages, genders, and skill levels.
A former collegiate setter and right-side hitter, Jenna made history as the first volleyball player from St. Johns Country Day School to earn a college scholarship, continuing her career at the University of Mobile. With over a decade of coaching expertise, she honed her skills developing athletes and coaches alongside her former high school mentor before assuming full program leadership.
In her leadership roles, Jenna has delivered remarkable results, including breaking a prolonged district championship drought, guiding teams to multiple deep postseason runs—such as Sweet 16 appearances, Final Four finishes, and regional titles—and launching a first-year boys program to an inaugural district championship. At the club level, her strategic guidance has powered teams to numerous USAV tournament victories, fostering both competitive excellence and sustained athlete growth.
Jenna has also contributed to elite talent identification, serving on staff for a Boys NTDP Showcase in Charlotte, North Carolina, collaborating with top regional performers.
In her current position, Jenna focuses on crafting innovative competitive strategies, mentoring coaches, setting high training standards, and creating clear progression pathways from youth to advanced levels. With her disciplined, detail-oriented style, she cultivates environments rooted in accountability, relentless growth, and leadership—empowering athletes to unleash their full potential on the court, dominate the game, and excel at the next level and beyond.
